Summer Fun Days at Foxfield Railway

Summer Fun Days at Foxfield Railway

Sep 2024

The North Staffordshire Community Rail Partnership were delighted to work with our friends at the Foxfield Railway and CrossCountry Trains to enable delivery of Summer Fun Days. Every Wednesday in August Foxfield ran free train trips for children and provided free pack lunches, there was also face painting, craft activities and rail safety activity books. Over 500 children attended and much fun was had by all.

If you missed these events you can still visit the Foxfield Railway, a 15-minute walk from our Blythe Bridge station.

Like so many areas, Stoke-on-Trent, is home to many children from disadvantaged backgrounds, these events were open to all regardless of economic means. We are grateful to CrossCountry Trains for funding these events.
