North Staffordshire Community Rail Partnership and the Stone Station volunteers were awarded a Community Champions award for their work at Stone Station this year. The London Northwestern Railway award was given due to the dedication and achievements at the station thanks to the work of the volunteers whose efforts have included building relationships with partners and amazing planting displays. Michael Wilmot, Chair of the Community Rail Partnership, presented the award to lead volunteers Barbara and Rachel at our Annual General Meeting in October.
NSCRP promotes the importance of local railways in improving mobility and sustainable travel, community cohesion and wellbeing, and social and economic development.
