NSCRP promotes the importance of local railways in improving mobility and sustainable travel, community cohesion and wellbeing, and social and economic development.
Join us on Wednesday 13th March at Stone Station to celebrate the station improvements and the work of the station volunteers.
Thanks to the volunteers and partners London Northwestern Railway and Network Rail, the station has benefitted from new planters showcasing a variety of plants and flowers, rainwater harvesting, a defibrillator and poetry and story board panels with more improvements to come!
Join us for free refreshments between 10am and 12pm provided by Futures2Gether, hands-on activities with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, poetry readings from pupils at St Dominic’s Priory School and defibrillator demonstrations with AEDdonate. There will also be information on the projects delivered and an opportunity for you to get involved by voting for your favourite planting design!
Stone Station Community Open Day is a drop in event and tickets are not required.
A guided Rails to Trails walk from Stone Station into Stone Town will also take place. The Trail is free to attend but places are limited in number and should be booked in advance.
If you have an idea for a railway-themed event of any sort do get in touch. We are always happy to consider joint projects and can access funding to support them.
