Penkridge Village is an attractive and historic Staffordshire village only a 5-minute walk or 2-minute cycle from the station. The main village street – Market Street – has a number of small shops, some of which are housed in buildings dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries. The centre of the village was designated a Conservation area in 1970. Penkridge holds weekly markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays and has been described as one of the best markets in the Midlands, hosting up to 100 stalls selling a huge variety of products.
